Acerca del evento
Before each client joins the group, s/he undergoes a traditional psychotherapy intake procedure. The client (or legal guardian) completes mandatory paperwork including informational release, HIPAA agreement, confidentiality, liability, medical release, cancellation policy, review of payment policy, consent to treat, etc. The licensed therapist completes a biopsychosocial evaluation and creates a treatment plan with input from the client and/or family member(s). The client is now ready to participate in the 8-week Equine-Assisted Coaching Program (EACP) group sessions in the arena or pasture with the horses. After the last group session, the therapeutic team reviews the treatment goal(s) and determines if they have been met for each client. If the therapeutic team and client agree that the client would beneft from more EACP, additional individual and/or family sessions are added. If another goal for treatment surfaces, a new treatment plan is then created.
